McLaren São Paulo has been named McLaren Automotive Middle East, Africa & Latin American Retailer of the Year 2019 in recognition of its excellent sales performance and highest standards of business operation.

The Award was announced at the ceremony held at the prestigious Savoy Hotel in London, and highlights the phenomenal reception to McLaren brand in Brazil, following the first full year of trading. 

The McLaren Retailer of the Year Programme has been running since 2015 to distinguish the very best retail locations of McLaren Automotive. The 2019 edition saw entries from the entire McLaren retail network, including 13 from the Middle East, Africa & Latin America region. All contenders were meticulously benchmarked using an extensive assessment process and rated in key areas including sales, customer service, aftersales and marketing.  

The announcement coincided with McLaren São Paulo celebrating the first and only delivery of the McLaren Senna GTR destined for a private customer based in Latin America. This extreme track car generates peak downforce in excess of 1,000 kg and has been designed to lap circuits faster than any McLaren outside Formula 1. With 825 PS and lightest dry weight of just 1,188 kg, the 694 PS-per tonne power-to-weight ratio of the McLaren GTR comfortably exceeds every other McLaren Automotive road or track car currently in production.
